Downtown Ogden Murals and Public Art Walk

A flexible self-guided route connecting murals around Grant Avenue, 25th Street, Washington Boulevard, and nearby downtown blocks.

Downtown Ogden has enough murals to build a short art walk or a longer wandering loop. This route groups several official city-listed works close to the downtown core, while leaving room to stop for food, shops, galleries, or First Friday activity.

A practical downtown route

  1. Grant Avenue, 22nd to 24th Streets: begin with the large Grant Avenue murals by Don Rimx and David Sepulveda.
  2. Origin Alley, 2436 Grant Avenue: look for the rotating alley work associated with Wasatch Roasting Company. Because this wall changes, expect the current art to differ from older photographs.
  3. 2432 Washington Boulevard: continue to The Seasons, created by Sherry Ferrin with community volunteers.
  4. 490 25th Street: look for Jane Kim’s monarch imagery near The Monarch and other public art around the creative district. Scan the surrounding walls rather than relying on a single doorway.
  5. 443 27th Street: finish the core loop at Brent Atwood’s Joe McQueen mural on the side of the Salty Creative building.

Optional extensions

Add the murals behind Pioneer Stadium, the work at 936 28th Street near the Ogden Bicycle Collective, or the Ogden River Parkway tunnel beneath Monroe Avenue. The Parkway extension is not part of the compact downtown loop, so plan the extra distance separately.

How to make the walk better

  • Go in daylight for easier navigation and photography.
  • Stay on public walkways and do not enter private service areas for a better angle.
  • Treat listed addresses as waypoints because murals can face an alley or side wall.
  • Expect art, businesses, construction, and access to change.
  • Combine the route with Historic 25th Street, a gallery stop, or a current downtown event.
