Weber County fall guide · 2026
Choose the right October plan without opening twenty tabs. This countywide guide covers every Halloween attraction and event we could verify directly: corn mazes, haunted forests, ghost walks, cemetery tours, family festivals, performances, library programs, trick-or-treat events, and gentler fall alternatives.
Fast answer: which one should you choose?
- Best all-around farm night: Gibson’s Green Acres combines two regular corn mazes, farm activities, pumpkins, food, and an optional haunted maze.
- Best for choosing your scare level: Happy Pumpkin pairs a family corn maze with Field of Fear, plus Wednesday daylight tours and an optional glowstick system for a milder haunt.
- Best full-strength haunted attraction: Haunted Hollow is a 13-acre outdoor haunted forest intended for people who want the scare to be the main event.
- Best low-scare maze: Cold Springs’ Jailhouse Maze changes its 25-plus-door layout weekly and is designed for all ages.
- Best real-history night: Story Tours’ Ogden ghost walks and the Weber County Heritage Foundation cemetery tour use the city’s actual places and stories.
- Best for younger or mixed-age groups: Dinos in the Dark combines trick-or-treating, crafts, games, and haunted paths with timed entry.

Gibson’s Green Acres: the complete farm-night option
449 S 4700 W, Ogden. Gibson’s is the broadest traditional fall-farm experience in the county. Regular corn-maze admission includes two corn mazes, a wagon ride, courtyard activities, the petting zoo, giant slide, tractor trikes, corn pit, hay maze, and farm games. The haunted ticket adds the haunted maze and haunted hayride; the daytime wagon ride stops at 8 p.m. Pumpkins cost 50 cents per pound, and the Butter Bouncer is a separate $5 unlimited-use add-on.
- Haunt nights: Fridays and Saturdays in October, plus Thursday, October 15 for fall break.
- Weather: The farm may close early or immediately because of weather and states that tickets are nonrefundable.
- Pets: Dogs are not allowed.

Happy Pumpkin and Field of Fear: two experiences on one property
3462 W 2900 S, West Haven. The regular corn maze is intentionally family-friendly and separate from Field of Fear. Courtyard attractions include large and small swings, slides, games, food, a lighted dance floor, photo stops, and pumpkins. Field of Fear runs through a 160,000-plus-square-foot cornfield with actors and haunted environments.
- Lower-scare option: Wednesday daylight tours run from 5–7 p.m. without actors or scares. The haunt also advertises free glowsticks that signal a milder experience for nervous guests.
- Full haunt: Thursday through Saturday after dark; the standard combo includes the corn maze and one Field of Fear trip.
- Young children: Children age 2 and younger enter the regular corn maze free. Use the daylight tour or family maze rather than assuming the nighttime haunt is child-friendly.
- Official source: Happy Pumpkin Corn Maze and its official ticket portal.
Cold Springs Jailhouse Maze: the overlooked North Ogden option
2284 Fruitland Drive, North Ogden. Cold Springs Trout Farm turns the north end of its farm into a prison-break maze with more than 25 doors. The layout changes weekly, so repeat visitors do not necessarily get the same route. The farm describes it as suitable for all ages and pairs it with fall activities including racing fish, a giant slide, and the Twisted Swing Surprise.
- Season: From the last Friday in September through October 31.
- Price: $12 regular admission.
- Group planning: School and church group discounts are available Monday through Thursday; online reservations are required for group maze entry.
- Official source: Cold Springs County Jailhouse Maze.
Haunted Hollow: the dedicated scare night
1550 S 1900 W, Ogden. Haunted Hollow is not a pumpkin-patch visit with a small haunted add-on. It is a 13-acre outdoor haunted forest built around actors, dark trails, structures, and sustained scares. Choose it when the haunt itself is the reason for going.
- Terrain and weather: This is an outdoor walking attraction. Wear closed-toe shoes and expect uneven ground, darkness, cold, or mud after rain.
- Timing: Friday and Saturday typically draw the largest crowds; Fast Pass is the middle ticket tier.
- Directions: The attraction’s header and footer conflict on the I-15 exit number, so navigate to the street address rather than relying on the exit text.
- Official source: Haunted Hollow Utah and its linked official ticket portal.
Dinos in the Dark: Halloween for mixed-age groups
1544 E Park Boulevard, Ogden. Dinosaur Park’s timed-entry event mixes trick-or-treating, haunted paths, carnival games, prizes, crafts, and the park’s dinosaur setting. It gives families Halloween atmosphere without committing the whole group to a full-strength haunted house.
- Entry: Select either 4 or 6 p.m.; the event ends at 8 p.m.
- Value: Every admission includes two carnival-game tickets; the four-person bundle is the lowest listed per-person option for a group of four.
- Planning: Everyone in a group should reserve the same entry time. Regular park operations end early on event dates.

Ghost walks, haunted-history tours, and cemetery stories
Story Tours: Historic 25th Street ghost walks and Ogden city ghost tours
Story Tours runs guided October experiences rooted in Ogden’s notorious railroad-town history. The Eerie East walk meets south of Peery’s Egyptian Theater and covers the east end of Historic 25th Street. Its vehicle tour meets at 189 12th Street and visits haunted locations around the city. The published 2026 Halloween schedule lists October 9, 10, 23, and 24 at 7 and 9 p.m. Walk tickets are $25 adults, $23 students/seniors/military, and $20 children or groups of ten or more; bus tickets are listed at $30. Tours run rain or moonshine and may be combined or cancelled if minimum attendance is not met. See the official Ogden ghost-tour schedule.
Spirit of Ogden Cemetery Tour
The Weber County Heritage Foundation’s annual living-history cemetery tour returns to Ogden City Cemetery on Saturday, October 10 at 4 p.m. It is the strongest pick for local history rather than jump scares: interpreters bring people from Weber County’s past back into view where many are buried. Use the foundation’s official listing and ticket link.
Free, self-guided alternative: The same foundation offers year-round audio walks for Historic 25th Street, Union Station, and “Untamed Women.” These are history tours, not advertised haunted tours, but they are a good daylight option for visitors who want atmosphere without actors or scares.

Month-long library activities
The Weber County Library system has unusually strong free, low-key Halloween programming throughout October: a Goosebumps scavenger hunt and “Clue” at the Main Library; Pumpkin Patch, Jack-in-the-Box Spider kits, and teen Ghost Painting kits at Pleasant Valley; plus rotating creature art, spooky crafts, and science programs. These are especially useful for bad-weather days and families avoiding intense haunts. Browse the official calendar by branch.
What we checked but did not treat as confirmed
A few 2026 listings appear only on third-party calendars or social posts. Arnold’s Nightmare Alley in North Ogden is listed as a free home haunt on October 23–24 and 30–31, and downtown Trick-or-Treat Streets is listed for October 31, but neither had a directly accessible organizer page during this verification. Witchstock is an established Ogden tradition, but its organizer had not posted a 2026 date on its own site. These are watchlist items, not promises—check the organizer before making a special trip.
Best choice by group

- Older kids who want “a little scary”: Happy Pumpkin’s Wednesday daylight tour or glowstick option, Cold Springs Jailhouse Maze, or the early half of the Storytelling Spooktacular.
- Teen group: Gibson’s haunted maze, Field of Fear, or Haunted Hollow depending on confidence and desired intensity.
- Date night: Gibson’s or Happy Pumpkin for food, activities, and a maze; Story Tours for history; Haunted Hollow for a scare-first night; Rocky Horror or Hocus Pocus for an indoor plan.
- Lowest-cost maze: Gibson’s weekday corn-maze admission, Happy Pumpkin’s weekday maze, and Cold Springs are each listed at $12 before any applicable online fee.
- Rainy or muddy forecast: Choose Dracula, Labyrinth, Rocky Horror, Hocus Pocus in Concert, the Storytelling Spooktacular, a library program, or Treehouse. Check same-day updates for every outdoor maze, forest, and cemetery event.
Before you leave
- Buy from the attraction’s own linked ticket portal, not a resale listing.
- Recheck same-day weather and social updates; farm and forest operations can change quickly.
- Wear closed-toe shoes that can handle dirt or mud.
- Confirm age and accessibility needs directly with the attraction; uneven fields and dark outdoor paths can be limiting.
- Save the exact street address before leaving because cellular service and roadside signage can vary.

Yes. Gibson’s Green Acres operates a haunted maze on selected October nights, and Happy Pumpkin’s Field of Fear is a haunted attraction inside a large cornfield.
