Open agricultural country in northwestern Weber County
The story of Reese
Reese is a long used community and township name in the broad agricultural area west of Plain City and Farr West. It has no city government or single official Census boundary, but Weber County planning records continue to recognize Reese as a distinct part of western Weber.
Reese developed within the network of farms, canals, rural roads, schools, and small settlements that spread across the lower Weber County plain. Its identity has never depended on a dense town center.
County planning documents from the early 2000s identify Reese as one of the townships involved in shaping the West Central Weber County General Plan. Current Western Weber planning continues to map and plan the larger area as growth moves into land that was historically agricultural.
Because Reese is unincorporated, boundaries used for postal service, schools, water, fire response, land use, and everyday local identity do not necessarily match. Address specific questions belong with Weber County and the responsible service district.

What shapes the community today
Reese remains defined by working land, open views, irrigation infrastructure, wetlands, and low density homes. Its central story today is the same one facing much of western Weber County: how to accommodate growth while retaining agricultural land, rural character, drainage capacity, and practical transportation connections.
